It's a girl!

Vor 2 Tagen wurde die kleine Lea geboren. Vielleicht erinnert sich der eine oder andere noch, für Leas Mama habe ich das kleine Babyalbum gemacht.
Das hier ist nun der Rest vom Babygeschenk, das heute auf die Reise ging. Meine 3. Blumen-Easelkarte und ein kleines Jäckchen, das ich auf dem Rücken noch ein wenig aufgepeppt habe. Die Schablone ist von Heike Schäfer und ich wußte, daß ich das Babytier-Set irgendwann mit Sicherheit würde brauchen können.

So this is the rest of the welcome baby package, which I sent out today. My third flower easel card and the cutest little jacket ever, which I pimped a bit on the back using one of my Heike Schäfer Stencils. I just knew this baby animal set would be quite usefell one of these days.

Shirts und Karte

Ich war nicht komplett tatenlos die letzten Tage, auch wenn man das vielleicht vermuten könnte. Ich hab zwei neue Shirts gemacht, eins rot mit transparenten Schmetterlingen und dann goldener Bügelfolie drüber. Sieht sehr schön aus, aber der Blitz ist leider mal wieder gnadenlos und das Wetter zu düster, um ohne zu fotografieren. Und eins mit einer neuen Elfenschablone. Je Shirt hab ich etwa 2 Tage gebraucht, weil ja immer mal wieder irgendwas trocknen mußte.

Even though it does seem this way I haven't been totaly lazy those last few days. I made two new shirts, one red with transparent Butterflies, finished off with golden hotfix foil. This one looks fantastic, but the flash of my camera was once again mercyless and screwed it all up and it's to gloomy today to take pictures without flash. For the brown one I used one of my newest stencils. Each shirt took me about two days to finish due to drying periods and such.





Außerdem hab ich gestern meine erste Magnoliakarte gebastelt, aber davon darf ich noch kein Bild zeigen. Die Karte war für einen Wettbewerb und erst wenn das Ergebnis bekannt ist, darf verraten werden, wer welche Karte gemacht hat.

I also made my first card using Magnolia stamps yesterday, but I am not allowed to show it yet. The card was for a challenge and I have to wait until the winner was announced until I am allowed to tell which card I made.

Shirts

Ich hatte ja ganz vergessen, hier die Shirts zu zeigen, die meine Mutter und ich am Wochenende mit Produkten von Heike Schäfer gemacht haben. Ihr Shirt kann ich leider nicht zeigen, weil ich kein Foto davon hab, und von meinen 3 hab ich im Moment auch nur 2 hier, aber macht ja nichts.

I completely forgot to show you the shirts my mother and I made with products by Heike Schäfer this weekend. I can't show you her shirt, since I don't have a picture of it and I just have 2 of my 3 shirts already home with me, but it doesn't matter, does it?





Die Farbe sieht auf dem Bild ziemlich schwarz aus, war aber eigentlich transparent und es wurde eine glänzende Silberfolie drüber gebügelt.

The colour on this shirt locks rather black, but it was actually transparent and I silver foiled it using silver foil and an iron.

Die meisten deutschen Leser hier kennen die Heike Schäfer Produkte vermutlich. Ich weiß nicht, ob sie auch international versendet, aber sie hat auf jeden Fall einen eigenen Shop, in dem sie außerhalb von QVC Deutschland verkauft und fragen kann man sicher immer. Ich kann ihre Farben wirklich nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Most of my German readers probably know the products by Heike Schäfer. I don't know if she ships internationally, but she does have an online shop where she sells outside of QVC Germany and probably wouldn't mind you asking. I can really only recommend her creat colours.

Und noch ein Werk von gestern

Diesmal aber eine ganz andere Sparte. Ralf hatte sich ein T-Shirt mit einem Kreuz von Heike Schäfer in der schwarz-grünen Hotfix Illusion Creme gewünscht. Das hab ich gestern gemacht.
Das T-Shirt ist anthrazit und ja, mein Freund hat ein Kreuz wie ein Preisboxer XD. Immer wieder süß, wie niedlich da ein Motiv in A4 drauf aussieht *lach*

Since I now also have English readers following my blog, I probably should switch to bilingual. This is another project I finished yesterday. My boyfriend asked for a T-Shirt with this cross design done in this very unique colour invented by my namesake Heike Schäfer *lol*. It changes colours, truly amazing. This one is black/green.
He has a really broad back. I always have to laugh about how tiny even these Din A4 sized motives look on his clothes.

Schablonieren läßt die Creme sich sehr schön, aber das Reinigen der Schablonen ist ein absoluter Krampf. So toll eine gummierte Creme ist, wenn es darum geht, die Kleidungsstücke hinterher auch zu tragen, so grauenhaft ist sie, wenn man sie irgendwo abwaschen muß. Vor allem bei den doch ziemlich detailierten Schablonen von Heike Schäfer ist das unlustig.

This colour is very easy to work with, but cleaning the stencils afterwards? Major pain in the ass. The colour is rubberized to prevent any tearing and to make it comfortable to wear, but this also means it's not water-soluble *sigh*. Cleaning the stencil without destroying the very fine details is nearly impossible and not funny at all.

Mehr hab ich dann aber gestern wirklich nicht mehr gemacht. Das T-Shirt konnte ich allerdings auch erst heute zeigen, weil die Farbe lange trocknen muß.

But this is really it, nothing more I did yesterday, I just couldn't show the T-Shirt any sooner, because the colour has to dry for a long time.
