Apple Cheddar Muffins

I finished this recipe card the day before yesterday and of course I had to send it out the very same day and of course the weather and light were at their worst at that day.

Sorry for the crappy pictures, they are the best I could do under those circumstances.

This recipe is from Cynthia Barcomi's first book she published here in Germany and since the theme for this recipe swap was "apples" I just had to chose this recipe, because of the cheddar cheese *lol*. Cynthia states in her book that apples and cheddar are a very common combiniation in the US... well in Germany not so much. People wrinkle their nose in disgust when reading this.
But they are really, really good and I wanted to spread the tale ;o)

Well that was my Septemer, folks. Less productive than I planned, because of my cold (my to do list was longer than what I posted). Lets see what October brings.

Little Mermaid

I saved the best for last (or at least I think I did). I worked for several days on this card and yes, I'm really proud of the way it turned out. I could hardly bringt myself to send it to the intended receipient *LOL*

Sadly you can't see in the pictures that I glued the large seaweed on in a special way. It's bent in the middle to give it a really 3D look.

I hope Nina will like it as much as I did.

Bookmark Card

Very simple, very clean, very fast. The book will double as a card, because this bookmark will be part of a book-gift and this way I don't need to make a seperate card (I find bookmark cards more usefull *g*).

I used the tutorial posted on the Whiff of Joy tutorial blog a while back.

In the meanwhile I received my own Maribel stamp. I got this stamped one from someone on the Stempel-Café forum and it's not as detailed as it should be because of the paper, which wasn't the best choice for this highly detailed stamp. Oh well, I still thing it all in all looks good.

Long time...

... no see. I've come down with the flu shortly after posting my last card here and couldn't take off from work. Sick and stress... not a very good combination, but now I'm back and I have several things to show you! This is the first card of three I managed to make even though I was coughing my lungs out.
The blue of Tilda's dress is not really a good match to the rest of the card, but aside from that I like how this card turned out.

I actually used Rock Candy Stickles on the white flowers, but I probably didn't use enough since you can't even see it on the flash picture... totally weird. You CAN see it on the card though *scratches head*

I'll show my next card tomorrow so stay tuned ;o)

The Magical Garden

This card arrived at it's destination now, so I have finally something to show you.

I bought a bunch of Marianne Design Creatables several weeks ago and they finally arrived last week. Considering it was a German shop the delivery time was abysmal, but oh well. Of course I had to play with them right away and so this card turned out quite different than I first imagined, but I loved it a lot when it was done.

I am also now officially a BIG fan of these Kraftin' Kimmie stamps. I loved them instantly when I first saw them, because they are so unique and funny and I bought this one pretty early on, but never used it until this card. That will change now.
I have to admit I don't like the newest collection, which has it's release day today, even the slightest bit, but I ordered the Halloween collection, already own the mermaids and will also get the fairytale collection asap *lol*.

I caught I cold, so there isn't much crafting done at the moment. Not good, considering my huge to do list for September *sigh*

For an old mummy

This card is for a very good friend who'll turn 30 this weekend. Intentionally I wanted to go and visit for his birthday, but I'll have to cancel these plans (still have to tell him :o( ). Therefore I made this card.
It's very simple, but I always find it hard to make cards for men and if I manage one it's always very plain and simple *g*

30 is a big mark, turning from a young fresh twen into an old mummy *rofl*. I have to get as much out of my older friends as I can, since it's my turn next year O__o
Damn, where has all the time gone?

Stamp: Magnolia
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Distress Ink Walnut Stain
Paper: Bazzil cardstock, pearlescent cardstock, light turquoise pearlescent paper, plain white cardstock
