Simply Sassy Spotlight

Hallo ihr Lieben! Heute ist das letzte Spotlight auf dem Simply Sassy Blog für 2011 und ich konnte es gar nicht fassen, aber ich durfte tatsächlich noch einmal dabei sein, eine von 9 Auserwählten. *lach*

Hi everyone! Today is the last spotlight for 2011 over at the Simply Sassy blog and even though I am still totally stunned, I was really one of only 9 girls chosen for this special occasion LOL

Ich hab lange überlegt, welches Motiv und ob Weihnachtskarte oder nicht und hab mich dann dafür entschieden, daß ich für den Anlaß eine Mischung aus Abschied und Danke passender fand. Und herausgekommen ist dabei diese Karte hier.

I thought long and hard about which image to chose and if to do another Christmas card or not and finally decided to do a mix of farewell and thank you card, because I thought this would be very fitting for the occasion.

Also liebes Simply Sassy Team, ich wünsche euch eine wunderschöne, besinnliche Weihnachtspause und hoffe, daß es trotz Mangel an neuen Motiven noch viel von euch zu sehen und zu hören geben wird. Danke für die tollen Inspirationen in 2011, eure Werke sind ein ganz großer Grund, warum die Sassy Girls so schnell zu meinen Lieblingsmotiven überhaupt werden konnten.

So, dear Simply Sassy team, I wish you a wonderful, relaxing and reflective Christmas break and I'll hope even though we won't get any new images, we'll keep seeing more amazing stuff from all of you. Thank you for all the amazing inspirations in 2011, your cards and projects were one very big reason why I fell so fast and hard in love with my Sassys and they became my absolute favourite stamps ever.

Simply Sassy Spotlight!

Hallo ihr Lieben! Ich wünsche euch einen großartigen Dienstag. Seit knapp zwei Wochen hibble ich diesem heutigen Tag entgegen, denn heute bin ICH Spotlight auf dem Simply Sassy DT Blog. Der Waaaahnsinn! Ich war so happy, als ich gefragt wurde, ob ich das Spotlight sein möchte. Was für eine Frage, natürlich will ich ^__^

Hello my dears! I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday. I've been waiting for today to come for nearly two weeks now, because today I am the splotlight on the Simply Sassy DT blog. Can you imagine? This is soooo awesome! I was so happy when I was asked to be the spotlight. And what a question of course I said yes, there was just no other option ^__^.


Wie so oft, hab ich es allerdings nicht geschafft, nur ein Werk für dieses Ereignis zu basteln. Es wurden letztendlich 5, entsprechend ist dieser Post extrem bildstark, ihr seid gewarnt.

Like always I couldn't do just one project for this spotlight. It had to be 5 *blush*, and this blog is very picture heavy. You have been warned.

Mein ursprüngliches Projekt: eine Halloweenlampe
My original project: a Halloween lantern

(Tutorial: There are several out there, I used the one from Stempeleinmaleins.)

Diese Laterne führte schnurstracks zu meiner nächsten Idee. Ein Hängerchen mit leuchtenden Sternen.
This lantern brought me straight to my next idea. A Halloween hanger with stars, which acutally shine (of course not really visible on the picture though *sigh*).


Und als wäre das nicht schon genug gewesen, kam dann auch noch der neue Sketch bei The Sugar Bowl und ich hatte nicht nur die Idee für eine, sondern gleich 3 Karten.

And as if this hadn't been enough, I saw the new sketch at the Sugar Bowl (not so new anymore now, so be quick, if you want to participate) and didn't make one card following it, but 3.


Ich hatte einen riesen Spaß, diese Sachen für den Spotlight Post zu basteln und ich bin immer noch total stolz und glücklich darüber, daß ich gefragt wurde.

I've had so much fun making these cards and projects for the spotlight and I am still so proud and happy (and honoured) to be in the spotlight today.
