Rezeptkarten-Ketting Mai / Recipe Card Swatch May

Heute kann ich euch mein aktuelles Rezept für das Rezeptkarten-Ketting im Stempelcafé zeigen, da die Karte gestern ankam :o)
Das Thema diesen Monat war "Grillen", allerdings ging es natürlich nicht nur um Fleisch und Würstchen, sondern auch um das "Drumherum" und ich habe mich dieses Mal auf das Drumherum spezialisiert, mit meinen liebsten Grillrezepten zum Thema Beilagen und Nachtisch.
Normalerweise bin ich eher kein großer Fan von Bärchenstempeln. Auch von Lili of the Valley reißen sie mich nur bedingt vom Hocker (eigentlich nur die im Stil der Weihnachtsbärchen), aber dei beiden Grillstempel waren einfach der Knaller, die mußten sein und sie waren wie geschaffen für diese Karte.

Today I can show you my card for this month's recipe card swatch at the Stempelcafé message board, since it arrived at it's destination yesterday.
This month we had "Barbecue" as the topic, but of course that didn't mean meat and sausages only, but also everything to go with that and I decided to focus on the sides and chose my favorite side dishes and dessert.
Usually I am not really a fan of any kind of bear stamps, even those from Lili of the Valley don't always do it for me (I mostly like the style of these slightly tatty christmas bears), but these barbecue stamps were just too good to pass by and they fit the occasion perfectly.

Rezeptkarten-Ketting im Stempel-Café / Recipe Card Ketting at the Stempel-Café

Auch diesen Monat gibt es wieder ein Rezeptkarten-Ketting im Stempel-Café und dieses Mal lautete das Thema "Italien". Mein Rezept für Stephie ging gestern auf die Reise, leider wieder mal auf den letzten Drücker, was total dämlich war, denn ich wußte gleich vom ersten Tag an, welches Rezept ich ihr schicken wollte, ich hatte auch die Tilda gleich am Anfang des Monats fertig koloriert und alles lag bereit, aber dann hab ich wieder einmal alles andere vorgezogen. Und diesen Monat war das echt eine Menge, wie dem einen oder anderen vielleicht aufgefallen ist.
Aber gut, wenn die Post mir nicht wieder einen fetten Strich durch die Rechnung macht, dann ist die Karte ja heute angekommen oder kommt morgen an, das ist ja noch früh genug *lach*.
Das Rezept ist übrigens von Jamie Oliver und wirklich super lecker. Ich habe damals ausgerechnet dieses Risotto aus dem Buch ausprobiert, weil ich es absolut nicht mit Ziegenkäse habe und mutig sein wollte. War wirklich super lecker. Die Portionenangabe sollte man allerdings ernst nehmen. Ich habe damals das Rezept halbiert, denn Ralf ist ein starker Esser und auch ich esse nicht wie ein Spätzchen. Ich hatte mit Resten gerechnet, so ist das nicht, aber wir haben tatsächlich, obwohl es nichts dabei gab, jeder nicht mehr als ein Viertel der Menge geschafft, also tatsächlich das, was pro Person als Portion angedacht war.
Schmeckt aber auch am nächsten Tag noch gut. Dann ist es allerdings ein großer pappiger Klumpen, hübsch anzusehen ist es dann wahrlich nimmer XD.

Like every month we had our Recipe Card Ketting at the Stempel-Café message board in April. Our theme was "Italy" and this is my card. Sadly I am once again very, very late even though I knew from the very first day in April which recipe I wanted to use and I haven had my Tilda colored in within a couple of days and ready, but I just kept doing other things first and there have been a lot of other things this month as some of you may have noticed. My blog hasn't been this active and alive in quite some time.
If the German Postal Office is doing their job for once, my card should have arrived today or will tomorrow. It's still in time, but I really have to stop pushing the recipe cards to the verge of being too late.
This recipe is one of Jamie Oliver's and I chose it as my first to try from this particular book, because I am so not fond of goat cheese and wanted to be brave and daring. It tastes absolutely delicious though. You just have to take the portion estimation seriously. Back when I first made it, I made half of the recipe, which would have been for four persons, but I didn't think much of it, because Ralf is a very healthy eater and I am also not eating like a mouse or like a lot of women do, but this risotto killed us *lol*. We really only managed a quarter each. I expected leftovers, mind you, but not a complete meal. But it tasted great the next day as well. It's just not very pretty to look it, because a one day old risotto is one big, sticky blobb of rice *lol*.

A recipe card and a present

I just finished my recipe card for a swap and lets just say I am absolutely not happy with that thing.
I do like the backside with the ingredients and instructions, I think this turned out quite pretty. But I hate the front with a passion. I look at it and everything seems wrong to me... don't know.
Of course I did the front first and without doing everything over again for which I don't have the time anymore I couldn't change it. I hate when this happens :o(

But on a happier note, I had a very short visit from Susanne yesterday and got a little present *yay*

Isn't it just dead cute? I love it ^____^. Thank you soooo much once again!
And I really admire everyone who can actually master a sewing machine. I can't sew for the life of me and I would so love to be able to do it.
I still ponder the idea of taking evening classes, perhaps that would help...

Anyway the girls met up last week to visit the Creativa and I couldn't come. Now I can savely admit that I was totally jealous of the other girls when all of them got one of these *lol*.

I think I'll use it as a handbag enhancer. And what a good excuse to get a new bag as well *rofl*.

Recipe card

My last November project. This recipe card was made for the recipe ketting at the Stempel-Café. Theme was our most favourite cookie recipe. These Caramel Apple Cookies really are kind of famous already. Every time I bring them to any gathering I am handing out the recipe afterwards *lol*
I've never met anyone who didn't love it, which is really amazing, if you ask me.

If anyone needs an English translation of th recipe, let me know.

Recipe card III

My last recipe card (for now), featuring Batty Princess. Another fabulous stamp. I am really so much in love with this collection and I am glad I could use them all on this project. Halloween stamps usually are pretty much useless in Germany, but I love them so much, I buy new ones very single year ROFL.

I have one more post left for this Halloween project and then I'll move over to non-Halloween again (over again *sadface*)

Recipe card II

Oh dear, I am totally late today, I'm sorry. I am doing NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) again this year and it's just sucking me into it's fantastic atmosphere. It's only day three and I've already written more than 20.000 words O__o

Well, anyway, here is the second card for the book from my post two days ago, featuring the glorious Zelda Zombie and wonderful Fred & Ginger.
It's a recipe for Halloween jam and one for Pumpkin Soup *yummy*.

Recipe card I

This is the first of 3 recipe cards I made for the book I showed yesterday. Each card is double sided and contains 1 to 3 recipes in total. This is the one with 3 recipes, featuring Mitzi the Mummy and Witchypoo from KK Moonlight Whispers.

Apple Cheddar Muffins

I finished this recipe card the day before yesterday and of course I had to send it out the very same day and of course the weather and light were at their worst at that day.

Sorry for the crappy pictures, they are the best I could do under those circumstances.

This recipe is from Cynthia Barcomi's first book she published here in Germany and since the theme for this recipe swap was "apples" I just had to chose this recipe, because of the cheddar cheese *lol*. Cynthia states in her book that apples and cheddar are a very common combiniation in the US... well in Germany not so much. People wrinkle their nose in disgust when reading this.
But they are really, really good and I wanted to spread the tale ;o)

Well that was my Septemer, folks. Less productive than I planned, because of my cold (my to do list was longer than what I posted). Lets see what October brings.
