SEME Challenge #30

Hallo ihr Lieben! Heute ist schon wieder der letzte Samstag im Monat und das heißt, heute startet eine neue Challenge beim  Stempeleinmaleins.

Die optionale Challenge für diesen Monat ist das Benutzen von Schleifenband auf eurem Werk und der Sketch - große Premiere - ist dieses Mal von mir.

I made a get well card this month using the super cute Lili of the Valley rabbit. This is by far my most favorite get well stamp ever :o)

Stamp with Fun #167 - Engel / Angel

Huhu ihr Lieben! Diese Woche möchten wir bei Stamp with Fun Werke mit Engeln sehen. Ich habe mich bei dieser Gelegenheit mal wieder für eine Weihnachtskarte entschieden, wenn auch in einer eher untypischen Farbe :o)

Hi dears! This week we would like to see creations with angels on them at Stamp with Fun. I have decided to make another Christmas card, but this time I used a bit of an unusual colour :o)

Wieder ist das Kartendesign an sich sehr simpel, aber ich persönlich fand auch, daß der Stanzer mehr als genug Deko war, mehr hätte gestört. Nach dem Mißerfolg mit dem Bubble Bath Stanzer neulich, hat dieses Stanzerset wieder einwandfrei funktioniert, so muß das *g*

Once again I kept the card quite simple, but I personally thought that the punches are more than enough embellishment for this card and more would have been too much. After my failure with the buble bath punch set, this one worked like a dream, that's how I love them *g*.

Stamp with Fun #166 - Sketch

Heute haben wir bei Stamp with Fun wieder einen tollen Sketch für euch.

Today we have another fun sketch for you over at Stamp with Fun.

Ein Freund meiner Eltern wird Anfang Juli zum zweiten Mal Papa, diesmal ist es der Stammhalter und natürlich war dafür auch eine Karte fällig.

One of my parents friends will be a father again at the beginning of July and this time it's his first son. So of course I had to make a card for this.

Inzwischen gibt es so viele wunderschöne Babymotive von Lili of the Valley und nicht genug Babys, um sie auch alle mal zu benutzen. Darum war diese Karte für dieses Motiv mal wieder eine Premiere *g*.

By now there are so many gorgeous baby images from Lili of the Valley and not even remotely enough new babies to use them all. Therefore this card has been a first time use as well *g*.

SEME Schaukelkarte / Back and Forth Card

Samstag! Und ich hab offiziell meinen ersten Urlaub für dieses Jahr. Gott sei Dank, noch ein bißchen länger dieser Wahnsinn ohne Pause und "das Haus, das Verrückte macht" aus "Asterix und Obelix erobern Rom" wäre Realität geworden *lach*.

Morgen geht's zu meinen Eltern, aber bevor ich verschwinde, möchte ich euch natürlich noch meine Karte für unsere neueste Ausgabe bei SEME zeigen.

Saturday! And for the first time for this year I am officially on vacation. Thanks God, a bit more of this craziness and I would have turned bonkers LOL

Tomorrow I'll be off to visit my parents and grandmother for the whole week, but before I go I of course wanted to share my card for our new issue of SEME.

Ich versuche mich noch immer an den etwas einfacheren Karten und hey, wenn ihr einen Kommentar hinterlaßt, dann entschuldigt euch doch nicht, nur weil Karten, die in die Richtung CAS gehen, nicht so ganz euer Bier sind, es ist doch völlig normal, daß man nicht immer alles mag, was man auf anderen Blogs sieht ;o). Ich gehöre wirklich nicht zu den Leuten, die ausschließlich gelobt werden wollen und sich bei der kleinsten Kritik schmollend in die Ecke verziehen, fest versprochen!

I'm still playing on the more simple side with my cards and at least I think I get the hang of it slowly but steadily. If you think otherwise, don't hesitate to let me know, I do appreciate constructive criticism :o)

Ich hatte ein paar Probleme mit dem Stanzer. Nachdem ich erst dachte, ich hätte vielleicht nicht aufgepaßt beim Anlegen des Bordürenstanzers, mußte ich einen zweiten Versuch starten und hab dabei festgestellt, daß mein Eckstanzer auf einer Seite absolut nicht mit dem Bordürenstanzer zusammenpaßt. An dieser Stelle kann man sich auf den Kopf stellen und mit dem Hintern Mücken fangen, man wird nie einen sauberen Übergang kriegen. Sehr ärgerlich. Hat jemand von euch die Bubble Bath Stanzer von MS und das selbe Problem? Würde mich interessieren, ob das ein individueller oder ein genereller Fehler im System ist.

I had a few problems with the punches. At first I thought I had botched it up and not taken enough care with aligning the ledger punch to the corner punchout and I had to start over. But when doing so I noticed that my ledger doesn't really match up with the corner at the one side. It is just not possible to get a good result at that point, the bubble circles will always turn out as ovals, because the two just don't align at all. Really disappointing. Does anyone of you own the Bubble Bath set and has the same problem? I am quite curious if this is a general or one time problem.

Stamp with Fun #165 - Urlaub / Vacation

Guten Morgen! Da hab ich doch glatt vergessen, meinen Post für heute zu planen, bevor ich gestern ins Bett bin. Isses  denn die Möglichkeit? *lach*

Heute haben wir bei Stamp with Fun das  Thema "Urlaub" für euch. Wenn ich aus dem Fenster gucke, kommt heute zwar nicht wirklich Urlaubsfeeling auf, es gießt aus Eimern, aber was will man machen.

Good morning! Can you believe it, I completely forgot to plan my post for today before going to bed last night. Completely impossible LOL

Today we have a theme for you at Stamp with Fun: Vacation. When I dare a glance out of my window, I don't really feel any kind of vacation vibes, it poures, but when can one do about that? ;o)

Wie man sieht, versuche ich mich nach wie vor an möglichst einfach gehaltenen Karten und habe mich bei dieser hier ganz stark auf das Motiv konzentriert, das ich übrigens aus 3 Digistempeln von C.C. Design zusammen gesetzt habe. Das funktioniert wirklich kinderleicht mit einem kostenlosen Programm wie z.B. GIMP, wenn ihr es also noch nicht versucht habt, dann probiert es unbedingt mal aus :o)

As you can see I am still on my "keep them simple" campain and with this card, I focused very obviously on the image, which I build out of 3 digistamps from C.C. design. Doing this is really, really easy with free programs like GIMP and the like, so if you haven't tried it yet, do it now :o)

SEME - Geschenkbox / Gift Box

Hallo ihr Lieben! Heute haben wir bei SEME eine gar nicht mal so kleine Geschenkbox für euch, die wieder einmal sehr schnell gemacht ist und wirklich was her macht. Probiert es unbedingt mal aus :o)

Hi everyone! Today we have a great, (not so) little gift box idea for you over at SEME, which is once again done very quickly and really looks so gorgeous. You really should give it a try :o)

Ich habe für meine Box ein schon ziemlich altes Design Papier von Stampin' Up verwendet (aus dem Minikatalog von 2009) und es mit einem nagelneuen Stempelset +  passender Stanze aus dem aktuellen Mini kombiniert.

For my box I used a very old patterned paper by Stampin' Up (from 2009 mini catalogue) and combined it with brand new stamp set + coordinating punch from the current mini.

Stamp with Fun #164 - Sketch

Hallo ihr Lieben! Heute haben wir bei Stamp with  Fun wieder einen tollen Sketch für euch.

Hi everyone! Today we have another fun sketch for you to follow at Stamp with  Fun.

Wie bereits angekündigt, versuche ich mich weiter an den eher simpel gehaltenen Karten, so auch heute.

As I announced last week, I'll keep going with the more simply kept cards, so today it's another one of those, of course.

Dafür heute mit dekorierter Innenseite, das mache ich ja nur sehr selten *g*.

Instead of a lot of embellishments on the outside, I did chose to decorate the inside as well, which I don't do very often as you may know *g*.

SEME Gießkanne / Watering Can

Hach ja, ich bin schon wieder zu spät. Zur wenigen Zeit kommt im Moment auch noch ein phasenweise auftretendes Kreatief hinzu, sprich, ich bin mittendrin etwas zu basteln, alles läuft und auf einmal kommt der totale Blackout und ich hab überhaupt keinen Plan mehr, wie ich jetzt weitermachen soll. Genau so ging es mir auch mit der süßen kleinen Gießkanne, die wir euch gestern beim Stempeleinmaleins präsentiert haben. Eigentlich lag ich noch voll im Plan und auf einmal waren die Lichter aus. Eben gerade hab ich sie endlich fertig bekommen, gefallen tut sie mir zwar überhaupt nicht, aber das hat mich ja noch nie davon abgehalten, das ganze auch zu zeigen ;o)

Yeah well... I'm late again. Not only do I have a serious crafting time problem at them moment, I obviously am dealing with a periodically happening case of creativity block as well, which means, I am totally crafting one moment, progressing just fine and the next second this blackout just hits me full force, everything goes blank and  I have no idea whatsoever on how to progress further. This was exactly what happened to me while making my version of the cute little watering can we showed you over at Stempeleinmaleins yesterday. I was actually completely on time, when my lights went out. I managed to finish it about 20 minutes ago and even though I am so not happy with it and don't like how it looks at all that never kept me from showing you the whole truth before ;o)

Family & Friends #5 - Sommerzeit / Summertime

Wahnsinn, es ist schon wieder Juni. Ist das zu fassen? Natürlich heißt das, daß es heute eine neue Challenge bei Family & Friends gibt und passend zum Start des Sommers, lautet diese diesen Monat:

Und hier meine Karte zu diesem Thema.

And this is my approach on it.

Ich möchte mich in der nächsten Zeit verstärkt an eher schlichten Karten versuchen. Die sind ja eigentlich nicht so richtig mein  Ding, oft hab ich das Gefühl, es fehlt noch was und da müßte unbedingt noch irgendwelche Deko drauf, obwohl das gar nicht stimmt. Da ich aber die schlichten Karten von anderen immer so toll finde, will ich das jetzt endlich lernen *g*.

I'd like to try and work on my more simple cards. As you might remember those are not really my forte, I never can shake the feeling that my cards are missing something and need more embellishments whenever I try to make a clean and simple card, even thought it's not really true. Since I actually totally adore those cards when they are made by others, I now want, want, want to learn it myself *g*.
