Several months ago my grandmother asked me to make a card for her to give away at a golden wedding she'll be attending in August.
This project really could be called "the waiting project".
First I found THE perfect Kanban paper on QVC UK. It was on waitlist, so I ordered it... an waited.
Then I heard that Magnolia was releasing a wedding collection. Up to this point, I had planned to use my Whiff of Joy Wedding Stamps, but I absolutely obsessively adore Magnolia... so I waited until they could be ordered.
I wanted to do this Vintage Glass effect for the image, just letting it look more like an old photo, not only big cracks, but small crackles as well... but I didn't have regular clear embossing powder and our local store didn't stock it. I had to go to Mainz to by it... again waiting.
So I finally finished that card yesterday. Woohoo. About time though, I'll be gone Thursday and Friday to visit my parents and my grandmother and that will be the last time before that wedding.
