Zur Hochzeit / For a wedding

Eine Kollegin meiner Mutter heiratet am Wochenende nach meinem Geburtstag und da die Abteilung Geld schenken möchte, wollte meine Mutter, daß ich eine Spardose für diesen Anlaß bastle. Erst hieß es "statt einer Karte", aber wie es halt immer so ist, inzwischen kam auch die Nachbestellung für eine Karte, man könne ja auf einer Dose nicht unterschreiben... ach?

One of my mum's coworkers is going to marry the weekend after my birthday and since the department wants to collect money for the couple as a gift, my mum asked me to make a savings box for this occasion. At first "instead of a card", but you know how these things go, in the meantime the order for an additional card came in, because you can't let people sign on a savings box... oh really?

Aber macht ja nüscht. Das wäre das gute Stück dann in fast seiner vollen Pracht (das Licht war künstlich, aber halbwegs in Ordnung).

So this is it in all its glory (the light was artificial, but actually quite good).
